We are proud of the young people we get to know on Spirit, many of whom go on to pursue the maritime interests sparked during their voyages. Young Bermudians currently pursuing maritime studies at Warsash Maritime Academy, New England Institute of Technology, and Holland College, include:

Daniel Atwood – Former ship Watch Leader, then Catering Officer. Now working in food service industry
Rodrico Bean – Past Spirit student then Watch Leader. Current apprentice Branch Pilot, Marine, and Ports
Benjamin Bernardo – Former ship Catering Officer, Chef Team BAR America’s Cup; now owner import company
Daniel Brangman – Started on a local voyage at 17 yrs. old; served as relief Engineer or First Officer when available; now works at Department of Justice, UK
Raymond Brangman – Started with BSF; working at Marine and Ports
Chris Brown – Past Spirit crew member, pursued further maritime qualifications and now Watch Leader on Spirit of Bermuda
Tristan DeSilva –Past Spirit Watch Leader, past First Officer on Spirit, and recently crewed for Class Afloat

Kristen Greene – Started at 13 yrs. old; became Spirit crew; now Officer of the Watch Unlimited, Warsash UK, Super Yacht crew member
Erin Greig: started as student crew; maritime studies at Warsash, first Bermudian with Jr. Navigator Certificate, now professional crew as First Officer on a sail training ship overseas
Vernon Harrison – Started at 13 yrs. old, completed maritime education at Warsash, UK, now trainee Branch Pilot at Marine & Ports
Tre Jones – Past Watch Leader on Spirit, recently completed maritime qualifications at Holland College
Daniel Martin – Past Spirit crew, works on a fishing charter boat
Dylan Moulder – Started while in middle school, relief Watch Leader, Captain at Blue Water Divers & Watersports
Dkembe Outerbridge-Dill – Past watch leader, completed UKSA Yachtmasters Program, Isle of Wight, and is currently employed at Marine and Ports
Reid Perinchief – Past Spirit crew, certified technician and owner of Clean Air Limited
Patrick Perret – Past watch Leader; RYA Yachtmasters UKSA Isle of Wight, working aboard Superyachts
Jason Rhind – former Education Officer onboard Spirit, currently studying psychology overseas
